Food Destinations: Nini’s Kitchen, Chandkheda, Ahmedabad.

This food destination is one of the chic restaurant chains in Ahmedabad and the reason I fell in love with it was because of one dish. The name of that dish is Italian Hot Chocolate. I remember I visited the oldest branch of Nini’s Kitchen at closing time with a bunch of friends. We ordered that dish on a call as we had the idea about the closing time. They thought it was a prank call and we will not collect the order. As we reached there hot chocolate was not ready. They prepared it only on the condition of accepting takeaway in the plastic tub (in which vegetables are served). It was the only branch at that time and my friends have already hanged out there.

It was my first time so I had no expectations. After collecting the order, we came out and opened the tubs after deciding to have it there only. We settled on the stairs and brought the spoons out adjusting the hot tubs in the hand. When I put the first spoon of thick hot chocolate in my mouth, it felt like I have tasted the best chocolate ever.

Ambience

They started with the outlet with the eye-catching illustrations on the walls but as they become popular and expanded, the interiors changed as well. Now, there is a color combination in interiors. They have used pink really well in all of their outlets. Along with Pink, you will find teal-ish shade and both of them go well with brown tables and chairs. They have made the ambience so attractive that as soon as you enter the restaurant, you get that vibe. And when you are struck by that vibe, you want to spend more and more time at that place. So as far as ambience is concerned, full marks to Nini’s Kitchen.

Food

Nini’s Kitchen is a multicuisine restaurant. They try to serve the best of every cuisine. The best part about their food is that you will find the same taste in all the outlets which is a rarity in the chain of restaurants. It means they train the cooks so well that customers hardly find the difference in the taste of the food. Coming back to the menu, they have chosen the dishes on the basis of popularity and have tried to come up with their best version. You need to try them to get the gist of what I am trying to say.

According to me, top 3 dishes in Nini’s Kitchen menu are:

1. Lasagna
2. Cottage Cheese Club Sandwich
3. Italian Hot Chocolate

Special mention to their Italian Hot Chocolate, they make the best hot chocolate in the town.

Service

From the moment you enter the restaurant till you leave it, you will be served with grace and politeness. They follow all the covid protocols and make sure that you are safe in their premises. They not only serve the food on your plate but also guide you if you are confused. During the rush hours as well, they keep their calm. If there is waiting then they don’t behave like they don’t care, they make you feel important and try to give you the table as soon as possible. The waiters update you about your food every ten minutes. If there is a delay then they will let you know and will request to bear with them.

Rating

Nini’s Kitchen is one of my favourite restaurants. And this branch is closest to my house. Thus, I celebrate lot of occasions there. I love their food, service and ambience. Only thing is, at times, during the rush hours, they tend to make blunders with the taste of food. I have been served half-cooked dishes during rush hours. Thus, considering all the factors, I give this outlet of Nini’s Kitchen 3.5/5.
