History
The chocolate room was founded in 2007 by L Chaitanya Kumar and Vikas Punjabi. The first outlet of the chocolate room was opened in Ahmedabad. It is headquartered in Ahmedabad and it has corporate office in Hyderabad. Today, there are 200+ chocolate room cafes across 8 countries in the world. It is present in 20+ states and 50+ cities across the globe. In 2007, it was started with a single cafe in Ahmedabad but now, there are 180 the chocolate room cafes in India. It was the slow start for the chocolate room. People took some time to get used to it. And the results prove that, recently, on the 10th anniversary of the chocolate room, figures came out, “years back, company turnover was not even 50 lakhs but now it has spiked to more than 100 crores.”
Theme
It was started with the intent to create a chocolate culture in India. As per the chocolate room, chocolates are the language of love. Kids love them, youngsters woo their prospective lovers with them, old men and women indulge in these as if they were delightfully crafted for them. The chocolate room claims to be the best chocolate dessert cafe. As the name and the tagline suggests, the chocolate room plays around with the chocolate and serve some awesome chocolate delicacies. It serves you hot chocolate, chocotails, chocoshakes, Chocolate pancakes, chocolate desserts and sundae and even chocolate pizza called as chocizza. The menu of beverages remains the same. The food menu of the chocolate room changes as they keep trying different things. You will get sandwiches, pastas, paninis for sure. Along with them, you will get pizzas as well. The staff is well-trained, nice and cooperative. The locale near this outlet is not used to the chocolate culture of the chocolate room. So, this place or outlet is never overcrowded. Even there is nothing like weekend rush in this outlet. One can spend some quality time (without waiting) here even on weekends. In this outlet, whole menu is not available but the menu available is enough to offer you a quick bite, to quench your thirst and fulfil your Choco desires.
If you want a quiet place (and coffee) to work nearby airport before your flight then this place is perfect for you. This outlet is perfect to spend couple of hours if your flight is late.
