Legends and a 90s Kid

I know I have been posting about this topic for the last couple of years. I should have finished it in 2019 itself but when I started it, I had no idea about the amount of fact check and research it requires. The process is so lengthy that I sometimes get lost in some videos and background stories of players. Interviews inspire me, entertain me and make the cricket fan in me really happy. In midst of all this sometimes I forget that I am writing a book which I have to finish before the topic loses its luster. In these two years, there have been times I have kept the book aside because of other commitments. I hope to finish it this year along with an extra version.

Extra Version

While writing the book, I realised I can’t write each and every story in the book. Moreover, I was thinking of starting a podcast but was not getting the theme. I entered the world of podcasts with Gaurav Kapur’s 22 yarns. While listening to that, I got my inspiration of starting my own podcast. The concept of stories around cricket fascinated me. Even I have stories around cricket but was not getting the frame to tell them. Finally, when I realised that I can’t write each and every story in the book, I thought why not tell the remaining stories through a podcast. So yeah, an extra version of the book is a podcast.

Podcast

This extra version will solve two purposes of mine. It will be a podcast as well as an audio book. An audio book with its chapters releasing at regular intervals. The podcast will be like a forever thing because, in the book, I have selected 30 cricketers of my era. And I still feel that I have not included some of the greats in the list. So in the podcast, I will try to cover all of them and in the first season. In the upcoming seasons, I will talk about legends of different leagues and tournaments. So the plan is big, I simply hope that I stick to it. I have recorded the teaser and it has been released on different platforms.

I will mention all the different platforms of Legends and a 90s kid on my website as soon as I release the first episode. I will mention them on a special dedicated page.
