I have written and published 3 books so far and IPL-ology is the one which has got the best response of 3. After the release of IPL-ology, I received the mail and reviews suggesting the topics I should have touched on in the book.
I considered all the suggestions and in the end, I agreed on a few and I thought the rest of them were very micro topics which I already mentioned in the book in the broader aspect.
It feels great when a former county cricketer from the UK mails you his thoughts on the book and suggests you to include couple of things in the sequel.
Writing a sequel was the best suggestion I got on IPL-ology. I have covered almost all the points that IPL delivered in its first ten seasons. So my first thoughts on the sequel were that I don’t have points or factors to write on.
IPL-ology 2.0 is coming
The fifteenth season of IPL is about to start and this year’s mega auction and the inclusion of two new teams have given me the content I was looking for. The last five seasons of IPL have brought drastic changes in the way cricket was played. Thus, I am excited to pen down my observations and express my views on the changes it has brought to the sport.
The sequel will be written keeping all the suggestions in mind. So hopefully, the study of IPL will be better, covering all the micro and macro factors. I have been doing the study on IPL since my college days. While doing my MBA, I did a marketing project on IPL. At that stage, I didn’t plan to write a book but that project helped me in forming the structure of my book.
When it will be published?
The first one I wrote after the ten seasons of IPL. So you can expect its sequel by the end of twentieth season. This post is the announcement that I am definitely writing the sequel.
Meanwhile, I am busy creating other content. I finished my second book on cricket called 30 Legends and a 90s kid last year and I am making an audio version of that book in form of a podcast this year. The podcast is known as Legends And A 90s Kid and it is available on all the leading platforms. This podcast is in English, I have one hinglish podcast as well on cricket and it is called Cricket Archives. So I will focus on podcasting this year. Next year, I will try and finish another book on cricket. I will share its topic in my upcoming posts.
So until I publish the sequel of IPL-ology, enjoy the other content I am making around this sport called cricket.

Your are truly a cricket lover and writing something on it is not easy as it requires lot of technical knowledge. All the best and looking forward to it.
