Finally the era of releasing main stream movies on OTT instead of movie theatres begin. Gulabo Sitabo is the flag bearer of this era. Production houses have started sharing the teasers of other movies as well which will be released on OTT instead of theatres. The response of Gulabo Sitabo will decide how many more movies will be released on OTT in this corona period.
My thoughts on Gulabo Sitabo are:
The tagline of Gulabo Sitabo is ‘ek priceless jodi’ but I was drawn towards it because of two jodis. One, @SrBachchan and @ShoojitSircar who has delivered gems together. And second one is @ayushmannk & Shoojit ji as the director launched Ayushmann in the industry.

The story of Gulabo Sitabo revolves around a palace (haveli) which is owned by Mirza’s wife. And you would have seen in the trailer Baankey (@ayushmannk) is a tenant. Mirza (@SrBachchan) is waiting for the death of begum to become the owner of the haveli.

And Baankey wishes to live in the haveli without paying even a single penny. In the fight of Baankey and Mirza, an archeologist (Vijay Raaz) and an advocate (Bijendra Kala) comes in to take the advantage.

The tone of comedy in the movie is like Piku, it is not a laugh riot.
Movie is bit slow in the beginning but it doesn’t bore you at any point.

In fact, some scenes will give a good amount of laughter.
Remember, you will be watching it at home & not in theatres. So you won’t get that atmosphere & because of that you will feel the difference.
At some points movie loses the crux but the message in the end covers it up really well.

Overall it is a light-hearted, simple and fun movie with a realistic message. It is a family entertainer which will bring some light moments in this stressful phase of life.

I have seen the movie recently. Overall it was time pass nothing interested me much.
Yeah it was time pass but the message in the end was really good.

The promise of magic with that the trio of Shoojit Sarkar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Ayushmann drew us to watch the movie. But it did not really create the kind of magic we had expected. But the performances are great.

Amazing movie! Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushman Khurana and other actors ace the performance and Begum takes the cake! Truly spectacular!! Amazing power play of gender roles. Great thoughts.
