This hotel came in one of my searches when I was planning the Udaipur trip with my friends. In fact, it was one of my shortlisted resorts. I was ready to convince my friends to book it but that trip didn’t work out and I forgot about it.
Few months later, my uncle came to our house and announced that we have organised the wedding at Bamboo Saa. Life came a full circle, the resort which I bookmarked a few months ago became the venue of my cousin’s wedding.
Till my cousin’s wedding, I saw Bamboo Saa only in pictures but after reaching there, it was a completely different picture. For the first time, I realised that Imagining things from a picture can be completely different from reality.
I went to the resort with some expectations and during my stay, the experience exceeded those expectations. So now I will tell you five reasons why you should choose Bamboo Saa over other resorts in Udaipur. Read on!
Location
It is located at the feet of Sajjangarh fort surrounded by greenery. As you go out of the resort, you will find a Sajjangarh zoo and a biological park. And from there, 10 minutes uphill, there is Sajjangarh fort. It is well connected with the city as you will find one of the lakes at a 5-10 minute drive. Thus, it is a great location for a short trip, a long trip, a destination wedding, a staycation as well as an educational trip.
Architecture
The available space has been used really well by the architects. There is a space for everything from the parking of big commercial vehicles to poolside weddings. There are cottages, chalets and different types of rooms in the resort. Apart from that, there are two pools, restaurants, a bar, banquet halls and lawns. All these things are designed in such a way that even though everything is on the same premises, they are separate from each other. It looks like a lot of thought and planning has been put behind building this architecture.
Food
I don’t give a review of the food of any restaurant until I taste most of the menu. At Bamboo Saa, I attended a wedding, so from breakfast to dinner, I tasted almost everything on their menu. And I can say that food at Bamboo Saa is great. Even if you are not staying there, you can have dinner at this resort. I am saying this because I saw people coming especially for dinner during my stay. The variety, the taste, the ambience everything adds to the mood of the resort and makes your night a memorable one.
Service
The staff at this resort is great. They will serve you as per your need. I stayed there with my 8-month old and we needed a glass of milk during the wedding. Within minutes, they served us the lukewarm milk as per our requirement. They were so quick that even my 8-month-old son enjoyed his time there. Even the cleanliness and hygiene were maintained and it was done according to the timings of events. Right from the check-in till we checked out, everything was very smooth and satisfying.
Amenities
As I mentioned earlier, there are two pools in the resort. One is in the cottage area and the second one is behind the bar and chalets. During winters, they arrange bonfires on their premises so that you can enjoy the weather while having a great time with your family. There is no gym at this resort but you won’t even miss it. There are three restaurants to choose from. Apart from that, there are various banquet halls to organise conferences and family functions. And if you want to relax then there is a spa as well. Lastly, there is a separate work desk in rooms which resort highlights the most.

We Gurgaon-walas love to be around places where there is open space and is lush green. This resort seems a perfect destination for long weekend for us.
I have not travelled to Udaipur but if I plan to do it sometime soon, I will surely consider this as our stay. It sounds great for a family stay.
