Guide to Singapore Trip

Singapore is small, beautiful and the best country to live in Asia. One should witness its beauty at least once in a lifetime. In other words, if you are settled in Singapore then you are living in the best country in Asia. If you are not settled there then visit the country at least once in your lifetime.

To make your trip to Singapore memorable, you need to plan and research well. The biggest factor attached to Singapore trip is how much money can you spend? The more you spend the more luxurious it will get but if you spent without planning, you will end up wasting your hard-earned money. With the proper planning and research, you can save money and can make most of your time in Singapore.

The planning starts with your budget. By budget, I mean you have to decide, what proportion of your budget should go in flights, hotels and sightseeing? And how much you want to spend on shopping? If you are not able to decide then research will help you.

Research while planning Singapore trip

  1. To start with, shortlist a few tours and travel companies in your city (on the basis of service) and get quotations from them.
  2. Compare all the packages on the basis of flights, ratings of the hotels and places covered in sightseeing.
  3. Select the package on the basis of preferences. (Tip: For the best in-flight experience and good accommodation, choose the package with Singapore airlines and a 4-star hotel.)
  4. Bargain with companies to get the best price.
  5. Finalize with a company that gives you the best deal.

These steps will help you in dividing your budget really well and before starting the trip, you will have a clear picture of how much money you have for the shopping?

If you are not confused and have a big budget for the Singapore trip then above mentioned research is not for you.

After reaching Singapore, you have to make sure that you have ample time at the following places because there is a lot to explore in Singapore and in the given period of time, you have to make sure that you don’t miss out on must-visit places.

Must-Visit Places in Singapore

Singapore Flyer

Singapore Flyer is a Ferris wheel like the London eye. One can see the whole of Singapore from that giant observational wheel. It has 28 capsules and each capsule can carry 28 people in one go. In each corner of the capsule, you will find a tabloid that will give you information about the places visible from that corner. Singapore flyer takes around 30 minutes to complete one round. And this 30-minute journey of the Singapore Flyer is a must for all visitors because it gives you the scenic and most beautiful moments of your trip.

Universal Studios

For those who don’t know, Universal Studios theme park is a place where rides are designed around the movies made by universal studios. It is a place where you can enjoy movies and rides together. You can eat and shop (exclusive merchandise) as well. In Singapore, Sentosa Island is the place where this studio is located. You need a whole day to explore this place and enjoy the rides. There is a play in universal studios which is performed twice or thrice a day. You will witness a lot of stunts in that entertaining act. So you must not miss that act. A day at Universal Studios Singapore will provide you utmost satisfaction. Thus it is a must-visit place.

Gardens by the bay

Gardens by the bay is the man-made natural place. It is an architecture where two domes are created. Forest Dome and Flower Dome. In these domes, atmosphere is created in such a way that when you enter in the forest dome, you feel like you are in the forest. And when you enter in the flower dome, you will feel that freshness and smell the fragrance of flowers. In flower dome, you will find almost all the types and breeds of flowers. Apart from these domes, you will find artificial trees as well. I will recommend visiting this place in the evening so that you can enjoy the musical show around these artificial trees. Start exploring this place with forest dome because flower dome will tire you out and you will not be able to find your feet for forest dome later.

Changi Airport

Singapore’s Changi Airport is one of the best airports in the world. You will find the world’s tallest indoor waterfall at this airport. They say you need two days to explore each and every corner of this airport. One will find each and every source of entertainment at this place. You can eat, drink, shop and relax at this airport. You will find the outlet of each and every apparel brand at this place. This is the best place for chocolate shopping as you will get all the brands of chocolates under one roof. There are restaurants, bars and even a multiplex at this airport. You should spend at least 6 hours at this airport.

Sentosa Island

Sentosa Island is the place where you can enjoy most of the adventurous activities. Along with adventurous activities, you will find sea aquarium, a lot of eateries, beaches, museums (like Madam Tussauds, Singapore) and different shows at Sentosa Island. Bungee jumping and indoor skydiving are among highlighted activities at Sentosa. I will recommend spending at least two days in Sentosa Island. Sea aquarium is overhyped but Skyline luge ride and watch wings of time show are must at Sentosa.

Singapore strike a perfect balance between natural beauty and man-made beauty and the crime rate is very low. All these factors makes Singapore a must-visit country in Asia.
